Past Conferences

MESA has long been recognized for the caliber of the content it creates.  And, the annual conferences have long been recognized among the best places in industry to be to access that content and to interact with the industry thought leaders who created it.

Filled with educational sessions, end user-led presentations, panel discussions, peer-to-peer networking, and more, MESA's annual conferences offer engineers, IT professionals, managers and executives alike the opportunity to tell their story and hear the stories of others.  MESA's continued commitment to finding and illuminating best practices that deliver real impact to manufacturers and producers makes these events worth attending year after year.

The History of our Annual Conferences

Our annual conferences have been held in many locations across the U.S., from Chicago to Phoenix to Boston and Orlando, and in Europe, from Utrecht in The Netherlands to Prague in the Czech Republic.

The events have always focused on providing value to attendees from across the spectrum of industries and experience levels, and they've featured notable event sponsors, panelists, speakers and keynotes.  Michael Treacy, former Chief Strategist of GEN3 Partners, Peter Fingar, Executive Partner of the Greystone Group, Grace Boldewijn, CEO of Bocari Engineering B.V., Jan Baan, Founder of The Baan Company, and Peter Williams, CTO, Big Green Innovations at IBM have all brought their vision and experience to the MESA stage for the benefit of conference attendees.

Similarly, the MESA membership has always strongly contributed to the knowledge sharing and value of the conferences.  From MESA's prescriptive guidebooks on Metrics Frameworks and SOA for Manufacturing to working groups on strategic initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing, the Real-Time Enterprise, Asset Performance Management, Quality & Compliance and Product Lifecycle Management, the whole of MESA's membership body continually highlights and demystifies some of the biggest challenges facing industrial customers in our times.

The Future for MESA's Annual Conferences

Just as MESA continues to evolve in its thinking and actions from a "plant MES-centric" viewpoint to the larger Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions landscape, so will our conferences evolve.  The P2E (Plant-to-Enterprise) theme coined by MESA for our conferences several years ago aptly highlights the challenges our future conferences will focus on addressing - namely:

  • How do you run your plants better to run your business better? And,
  • How do you manage the operational, organizational, cultural and technical touch points between the plants and the enterprise so as to thrive in your ever-changing business environment?

Look to MESA to help answer these questions.  And, look to our annual conferences to play a big role in your journey.

We'll continue to focus on the needs of our member companies and individuals.  We'll offer interactive and educational sessions, workshops and training.  We'll promote communities for like-minded companies and professionals to share best practices. We'll provide prescriptive guidance on how to not only identify problems, but also on how to solve them.  And, we'll address the challenges found at the intersections of plant versus corporate priorities PLUS Operations versus IT focuses.

If you're interested in lending your passion, experience and expertise to the teams shaping the annual MESA conferences, please Contact Us (hq@mesa.org)  to get involved.  We'd love to hear from you!
